Volunteer

Ice Skating on Main is a family fun iceless skating rink. Funds benefit the Henderson County American in Bloom program. All money that is earned or donated to America in Bloom stays in Henderson County, NC.

The Iceless Skating Rink is located in the Visitor Center’s parking lot, 201 South Main Street in Downtown Hendersonville.  The synthetic surface is made from special polymers that does not require liquid, so it can be enjoyed year-round in any temperature. You can also try your hand at the Olympic sport of curling. Curling involves players sliding stones on the ice towards a target.  Enjoy roasting marshmallows for a tasty s’more, or playing a game of corn hole, checkers, or Jenga with your family and friends. Food trucks and concessions are available for sale on certain days.

Dates of opening of the skating rink are December 18, 2019 through January 1, 2020.  The rink is open from 11am to 6pm daily. Special hours on Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve from 11am to 3pm, closed on Christmas Day and open New Year’s Day from 1pm to 6pm. Cash or checks only. Weather permitting.

Skating tip – Wear crew socks for comfort and a better fit.
